The present area of the Alhambra, with its wall and its earliest towers in position, began to take shape under the Nasrids, the last Islamic sultanate on the Iberian Peninsula, in the first few decades of the 13th century.

Once lined with homes dating from the first half of the 20th century, new condominiums are marching down Forsyth from Clayton, replacing the older structures. From the other end of Forsyth, the University is buying up property at a quick rate, removing these properties from the real estate tax rolls, pushing up sharply the taxes of this church’s neighbors.
The company produced casual dinnerware in the style of Mexican folk pottery. It was sold under the name Franciscian and was quite popular even during the Great Depression. The Franciscian name alludes to the American Southwest and Franciscian monks. Not sure how that changed anything, but I am sure it made sense to someone.
